A year in people #38 – a guy in a car

My flight was a little delayed and it was after midnight when I found myself doing the 20 minute walk from the airport to my car which I’d left at work.

A car drove past, indicated and pulled in a short distance ahead. Should my instinct to be worried? It wasn’t, but I was definitely a bit on alert. I was SO tired and just wanted to get home.

As I walked past I heard a guy shout out and I headed over. Not too close, mind.

“Are you OK? Do you need any help? An Uber or something?”

“Oh. No, I’m fine thanks. Just landed off a plane and walking to get my car.”

“Oh OK. Good good. Just as long as you’re OK.”

Satisfied I was safe, he drove off. How nice.
