You are smart, funny, kind, gorgeous, fit, fun to be around, generous, brave, courageous, vulnerable, energetic and so much more. You are you.
Remember that time you cycled 300km across the South Island of New Zealand? You didn’t like cycling much, but you said you’d give it a go. That you’d try it. Most people wouldn’t do that. They’d say no.
But not you.
You leapt right out of your comfort zone and into the saddle. I don’t think you liked camping much either, but you did that too. You took everything that trip threw at you, with a smile on your face.
You were brave. Just like you were when you decided to go travelling by yourself. Just like you were when doing the travelling. Just like you were when you went home. And just like you are now, back in England wondering what to do next.
Don’t ever underestimate your courage. Courage means “the ability to do something that frightens one” or “strength in the face of pain or grief”.
Life can be hard and tough, and full of challenges. It can be shit. You can feel alone, even when surrounded by people. Fear is real. Don’t let it hold you back, use it to drive forward instead. There’s a lot of people in this world doing things a bit differently, and that is OK.
Think about what you want and already have, not what you haven’t got. You are you, and are loved for it.
You’re a badass and you’d better believe it.
