Giant wisps of sand blew across the beach towards the sea, disappearing into the waves. The wind swirled in gusts, like it was dancing to a tune they couldn’t hear.
She ran towards the edge of the sea, laughing, and he ran after her. She stopped suddenly.
‘Isn’t it beautiful?’ She said, the wind blowing her hair across her face as she looked around. They were the only people there.
“It is,’ he said, ‘and so are you.’
He moved closer, and kissed her. All around them, the wind raged and the waves crashed, but they were oblivious, eyes closed, mouths intertwined.
They broke off, and she looked into his eyes.
‘I love you.’
‘I love you too.’
